Faith • Family • BBQ
Founded by Shawn Smith, a lifelong meat cutter turned BBQ content creator, Right Way BBQ was built on three things that never change: faith, family, and food. Every step we take is done with God at the center — this isn’t just BBQ, it’s purpose given.
Our seasonings were born out of a nudge from God — a push to step out of the comfort zone, face the giants of the seasoning industry, and trust that He would guide the path. That’s why we live by this simple rhythm: put God first, then get started. The rest of the journey is already being planned.
Backyard BBQ is more than fire and smoke — it’s where newcomers gain confidence and seasoned grillers keep perfecting the art. At Right Way BBQ, we believe every cook is a chance to learn, improve, and enjoy the blessings that come with good food and good company.
Our Mission
Our mission is to bring people together through honest food, clean seasonings, and purposeful living. We keep it simple: faith leads, family follows, and BBQ makes it all come together.
Our Story
With over 20 years as a butcher, Shawn learned the value of hard work, quality, and serving people well. When God placed BBQ on his heart, it wasn’t just about food — it was about building something that could inspire others to step out in faith too and make great bbq.
What started as sharing recipes online has grown into a community built on authenticity, perseverance, and courage. Right Way BBQ is more than seasonings — it’s a reminder to trust God, face challenges head-on, and enjoy the fellowship that comes from gathering around the fire.
Our Values
- Faith – God first, always. Every seasoning, every story, every step is built on Him.
- Family – Meals taste better when shared.
- Courage – Step out, conquer fear, and don’t be afraid to try new things.
- Integrity – Clean seasonings, honest work, no shortcuts.
