Smoked Cream Cheese with right way bbq seasonings

Smoked Cheese and Triscuit Dip Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 3 blocks of cream cheese
  • Right Way BBQ Seasonings:
    • 1 block with Ultimate Steak BBQ Rub
    • 1 block with Midnight Kick BBQ Rub
    • 1 block with Ultimate Pork BBQ Rub
  • Triscuit crackers

Equipment:

  • Smoker (charcoal, pellet or gas)
  • Smoking wood chips (hickory, apple, or your preferred flavor)

Directions:

  • Prepare the Cream Cheese Blocks:

a. Take each block of cream cheese and place them on separate plates or cutting boards.

b. Sprinkle the Ultimate Steak BBQ Rub on one block, Midnight Kick BBQ Rub on the second block, and Ultimate Pork BBQ Rub on the third block.

c. Use your hands to gently press the seasonings onto the surface of each cream cheese block, ensuring even coverage. Wrap each seasoned block in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld.

  • Preparing the Smoker:

a. Fill the smoker's wood chip tray with your preferred wood chips (hickory, apple, etc.), following the manufacturer's instructions.

b. Preheat the smoker to around 225°F (107°C).

  • Smoking the Cream Cheese:

a. Once the smoker is preheated, place the seasoned cream cheese blocks on the smoker's grates.

b. Close the lid and let the cream cheese smoke for about 1 to 2.5 hours or until it takes on a subtle smoky flavor. Be careful not to over-smoke the cheese, as it can become bitter.

c. Once smoked, remove the cream cheese blocks from the smoker and let them cool for a few minutes.

  • Smoking the Triscuit Crackers:

a. While the cream cheese cools, spread out the Triscuit crackers on a baking sheet with melted butter applied.

b. Place the baking sheet in the smoker and let the crackers smoke for about 30-60 minutes or until they develop a nice smoky flavor.

  • Assembling the Smoked Cheese and Triscuit Dip:

a. Arrange the smoked cream cheese block and smoked Triscuit crackers on a serving platter.

  • Serving:
  • a. Serve the smoked cheese and Triscuit crackers platter with your favorite dipping sauce or additional BBQ sauces for added flavor. (optional tabasco pepper jelly on top of cream cheese)
  • b. Your guests can use the smoked Triscuit crackers to scoop up the creamy, smoky goodness of the flavored cream cheese.
